When: 9 AM on Wednesday, February 9, 2011

Dr. Jeffrey LevineDr. Jeffrey Levine studied at the Art Students League, the School of Visual Arts, and the International Center for Photography, all in Manhattan. He was trained in geriatrics at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in Manhattan, and has served as primary care physician and medical director of several nursing homes. Dr. Levine has a hospital-based wound-care practice, and has written and lectured extensively on this topic.

Dr. Levine blends medicine with photography to challenge America's perception of aging and create a new view of growing old - one that presents optimism, vitality and participation while acknowledging the realities of illness and frailty.

Lee Robinson's first collection of poetry, Hearsay, won the 2003 Poets Out Loud Prize from Fordham University Press as well as the Texas Writers League Violet Crown Award.  Her second collection, Creed, was released in 2009.  She is also the author of a novel for young adults, Gateway.  Robinson is a faculty associate at the Center for Medical Humanities & Ethics.

Dr. Jerald Winakur has practiced internal and geriatric medicine in San Antonio for over thirty years.  He is the author of Memory Lessons: A Doctor's Story and a clinical professor of medicine at the Center for Medical Humanities & Ethics.
